I have very fond memories of Bill, a lovely caring and witty man....and my uncle. I am so grateful to have been able to have spent a couple of holidays in Canada with him and aunt Ina and all the family in the past few years. He certainly looked after us ....he will be forever in my memories x

I moved in beside Bill & Ina about 9 years ago and had many a chat over the state of the lawns or over shoveling snow. Sad news indeed when I heard the news. My deepest sympathy and my thoughts are with you.

Bill was a special man. He loved life. He loved to be home, he loved to travel, he loved sitting under the tree in his backyard, he loved his friends and coworkers, and every now and then he loved a wee dram and, for sure, he loved his lawn!!! But more than anything else, he loved his family. There is nothing he cared about more than being with them, making sure they were safe and making sure they would have the best life possible. This was what his life was about. Ina, Elaine, Linda and Barb you were, and will always be lights in his life. He will certainly be missed but the wonderful memories will always live on.

Eleven years ago we moved to Markham and we quickly saw how fortunate we were to move into such a lovely neighbourhood! with such nice neighbours. It didn't take long for David, son of a Scotsman, and Bill to strike up a special kinship. Bill was a funny and helpful neighbour and friend.. When Bill and Ina moved we missed them both and the street was never the same. Sending our heartfelt condolences with love to all the family. May all the memories of your wonderful husband, father and grandfather comfort you and give you strength.

Dear, Bowie Family: Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Bill, I feel like I have all these lovely fond memories of him through the wonderful stories Barb has shared over the years. Somehow, through Barb's recollections and pictures, I feel as If i have lived through the good times and funny times and trips and grandchildren and grandpuppies with all of you. His photos seem familiar and reminiscent to the tales and stories that I have collected through our long lasting friendship with Barb and Tim. We are heartbroken for all of you and share in this loss of a wonderful father, husband, grandfather and dedicated family man. Please know that we are leaning in and sending our strength and love to lift you up during this difficult time. With love Katherine and Geoff
