Obituary of John Nice

Nice, John Donald Oakes. WWII Veteran-Royal Engineers. Peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre- George Hees Veterans Wing after a courageous battle with cancer in his 91st year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Pat (2001) and his dear companion Elizabeth (2013) , loving father of Roger (Carolyn). Cherished grandfather (grandy) of Kelly and Kyle. Also lovingly remembered by Jaclyn. Survived by his brother Lawrence (Patricia, England).Friends will be received at DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME 166 Main St. North (Markham Rd.) Markham on Tuesday, May10th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am in the chapel. Reception will follow.
