How to sum up what a profound impact one has had on you in just a few short words? I've had the privilege and honour to call Bonnie my mentor, confidant, inspiration and most importantly my dear friend for just over 10 years. Her strength and optimism were unparalleled. Her commitment and endurance unwavering. She made those around her live harder, laugh harder, love harder. I see her strength in your family. She suffered for so long but no one could see by merely looking in. I can only aspire to be half the woman you were Bonnie. Thank you for sharing your life and heart with me. I will never forget you Bonnie Atkins. Until we meet again my dear friend. Rest in peace.

Dear Bea, Sam, Cheyenne and Lily My thoughts and prayers are with you today and in the days and months ahead. In life we have the privilege of meeting and coming to know remarkable individuals who stand out, and touch us in a very special way. Bonnie is one of these amazing people. Her incredible faith, strong sense of determination, unwavering courage, enduring kindness and optimism has truly been an inspiration to me. She had a heart as big as the world. She believed in giving back - even when I am sure it wasn't easy. Her speech to guests at the Markham Stouffville Hospital Gala last April on the day she finished a round of chemo was one such example. She touched everyone there that night with her incredible bravery. We who have had the privilege to know her are truly blessed. You have had the joy of sharing life as a family with her. When I think of Bonnie I think of all of the laughter that we shared. Whether we were talking about something serious or silly we always ended up laughing about it and feeling better. I will miss her and feel fortunate for having known her. Beatrice, Cheyenne and Sam know that you were all so loved and let that love comfort you in the coming days.

Bonnie was an amazing person. I learned something every time we spoke. She had such a beautiful, positive and honest energy that will be missed. I was sad to hear the heartbreaking news of Bonnie Atkins passing. I know no words can ease the pain for the family and friends she left behind. My sincere condolences to Beatrice, Cheyenne and Sam. Bonnie was my supervisor and I have many fond memories of her. I know she fought so bravely and cared so deeply for her family and her dear Sam. I'm greatly saddened to hear of Bonnie's passing and my heart aches for all those she left behind. Bonnie was a very loving and giving person who didn't think twice about helping others. I had the privilege of being able to call Bonnie my friend. She was always there for me, offering advice, a shoulder to cry on, and making me smile and laugh. Bonnie always gave her all. She worked hard and she loved those dear to her with all of her heart and soul. I'm a better person for knowing dear Bonnie and she will always be in my heart.
