Obituary of Nora Munday

MUNDAY, Nora Violet- Passed away peacefully on January 3, 2016 in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her husband Harvey Stephen, daughter Allison Jane,sister Jean Brown, her brother Ray Campbell and former sons-in-law Miles Tyrer and David Linkletter. Mother of Lesley Fitzpatrick (Charlie Riendeau), Jenny Munday and Robert Munday (Agnes Ladon). Proud grandmother of Joseph, Kristin (John), Jennifer (Charles), Andrew (Heidi), Rowan, and great-grandmother of Maybelle-Jane, Astrid, Violet, Gilbert and Harvey. She will also be missed by many family and friends including Mary and Gary Vanstone, Mike Chaisson (Lynn), Audrey Johnstone and other friends at Bethany Courts and Manor. Nora is the last surviving member of the Robert Henry and Mary Elizabeth Campbell family of Whitby. She was a long-time member of Grace Anglican Markham. Nora was a volunteer with The Canadian Save the Children Fund, Markham Stouffville Hospital and CHATS amongst other work in York Region as well as years in Quebec, particularly with the Pointe Claire Lions Club and West Island College. Nora and family also very happily resided in Kennebecasis Park, New Brunswick, making life long friends there, as she always did, everywhere she lived and travelled. Memorial Service will be held at Grace Anglican Church, 19 Parkway Avenue, Markham on Saturday, January 16th at 2PM. Donations in Nora`s memory may be made to the Canadian Save the Children Fund.
