I remember the time I spent with Aunt Nora in the summer of 1967! Aunt Nora took me and my causin Bob to expo 67 World Fair. It was an experience I will remember all of my life and when the memories pop into my mind it puts a big smile on my face.

I knew Mrs. Munday (Nora Munday) as Bob Munday's mother whom I would see when I visited their home while growing up with Bob, when we went to high school together and later when I was still living in Toronto.
I remember her always as a smiling cheerful woman who warmly took an interest in us when we visited. I remember her dedication to her family while she cared for Harvey after his retirement. I remember her continued concern for my family when my father had heart surgery a few years ago. I saw in her the best qualities of a loving parent to her family.
I deeply regret her passing and hope that her family find solace in remembering her full life that touched many others.
Jeff Gullickson.

Whenever she went to an antiques and/or collectibles store, she would, when confronted with the inevitable, "How may we help you?", ask if they had any 1924 calendar plates to add to her plate collection. She told me that they never had one and that was her plan of attack so that she could respond with, "Well, I'll just take a look around, then, thanks all the same." It never failed. I tried it myself while working in the antique business and sure enough, NEVER. If anyone finds one, buy it and call me!
She often quoted from Shakespeare's Hamlet but with a change (she never told me where it came from) that she found funny. "Goodnight sweet prince, and let who WILL be clever."
When we lived in Willowdale, long ago, we had a huge yard and a large garden. Mum and Dad both grew things - we always had Dad's tomatoes, Mum's rhubarb pie and strawberry jam, and other fresh things. What I remember most, though, was the smell of the house every fall when she would start making her relish (chutney). To this day I can't eat pickled anything although the smell does remind me of home.
Mum told me not too long ago that she always liked to see the full moon when she could. She could see that face and it reminded her of her father. So, she said she often went outside to look at it and say, "Goodnight Daddy!" before going back inside. And it's very true. In the few pictures we have of Grandpa Campbell, he really does look like the Man in the Moon.
Mum was a rabid hockey fan! Once in a while, our family was lucky enough to get tickets to a hockey game back when those words meant you were the luckiest one around and we dressed up to go to the games. I'm talking Original Six. Mum used to love to tell this story: Dad took Mum to a game - not sure now whether it was at The Forum in Montreal or Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, but The Leafs were playing. She was so excited when Ron Stewart got a breakaway that she stood up and shouted, "Stoot Shewart!", to the amazement of the folks around her. She laughed for years about it, and the look on Dad's face.
Laughing was a thing we all did. We could sit around and laugh about nothing better than most. She passed it on to us as well. There's nothing quite like laughing 'til you cry or can't breathe.

My daughter Anne and I are so sorry to hear of Nora's passing. I have been friends with Nora for many years. Anne and I have enjoyed several "lunches" together with Nora. I will miss her quick wit and humour which made me laugh often. She just made my day! God bless the family who cared for her deeply. We will carry her memory with us always.
