Dear Steve and family: We can never have a mother long enough. You were blessed to be able to share her life and love for as long as you did. Hold onto that love and know as your mother she is never far away. She is in who you are, your children and your grandchildren. You will see her in every sunrise and sunset or in one of her favourite songs. My heart goes out to you, God bless!

John,Steve,Scott,Bill; We are so sorry to hear this very sad news. You were truly blessed to have such a wonderful mom and dad, both of whom I have very fond memories of. Truly her greatest legacy is her children and grandchildren. Your mom had so much to be proud of. Our deepest sympathy to you and your families.

The whole Wylie family is so sad to hear of Aunt Beths passing. She was a wonderful, loving Sister to our Dad, who she lost so early, and a caring, thoughtful Aunt to all of us. We will see you Thursday, Kate, John, Matt and Liz

Scott, Bill, John and Steve and families- At times of great loss over the past 8 years, I have been able to seek solace while walking along the coast of beautiful Salt Spring Island which is now my home for myself and our 4 pets. This has been a time for solace and reflection. For 40 years, I was a loving daughter-in-law to Beth and Don, sister-in-law and aunt. We all grew up together as young adults and then as parents to our kids, sharing wonderful times and memories, especially at the Blackwater cottage. Beth and I shared mutual interests in our love of antiques and needleworking. Her rugs graced our farmhouse, made of fabric that I had left over from my sewing. I recall that some fabric that I used for a suit for Steve was displayed prominently in those rugs.Everyone admired them! I am glad that over the past 13 years, the tales of my exotic travels allowed her to be an "armchair traveller"! I know that she shook her head when Steve and I told them that we were taking our 4 children on a trip round the world...mad would describe it more accurately! Mothers are amazing...and Beth was one of those women who made us proud- as a mother-in-law, a grandmother and inspiration to her granddaughters. She's probably enjoying a "cuppa" with Don and Nell and Jim, David and Bill...a family gathering! You were loved and you will be missed- Fondly, Susan
