Obituary of John McDowell

McDowell, John David - Died at his home with his family by his side on Thursday January 1, 2015; age 59. Beloved husband of Beverly Bender. Loving father of Marcus (Tracy), Jason and David. Deeply missed by his mother Elsie, brothers Andrew (Joanna), Paul (Donna), Stephen (Jeannie), his sister Margaret (Bob) and his large extended family. Friends will be received at the Dixon Garland Funeral Home 166 Main St. N, (Markham Rd) Markham on Friday January 9, 2015 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Memorial Service on Saturday at 12:30 pm at Markham Missionary Church 5438 Major Mackenzie Dr. Markham. In lieu of flowers we would appreciate donations to Willowgrove, an organization dear to John's heart. Willowgrove is a not-for-profit organization associated with the Mennonite Church that seeks to nurture the spiritual, social, emotional and physical growth of children and youth through a variety of programs.
