Obituary of Cathy Soural

SOURAL, Cathy Lynn; (nee Smith) Far too soon, our beloved daughter, mother, wife, sister, and aunt, Cathy Smith Soural has passed. She died doing what she loved - riding her horse on her farm in the country. Predeceased by her father Lorne Smith. Mourning her untimely loss are her cherished children, Breanne, Alex, and Mackenzie, mother Phyllis, husband Grant, sisters Janne and Lorrie (Jim), brothers Rick (Karen) and Barry, many nieces and nephews and former husband Charles. Cathy was born on June 14, 1962 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, moving to southwestern Ontario as a young child. She was educated in Ontario and obtained her Nursing degree from Seneca College and was a practicing nurse at Scarborough Grace Hospital. She recently moved back to the country to fulfill her childhood dreams of having a lot of land, animals and especially horses. She was truly happiest going horseback riding. She and Grant were married four short years ago, and together they were delighted with the new life they were building for themselves in Cavan, Ontario. Cathy had a fun-loving and kind nature, a gentle spirit and a great sense of humour. She will be terribly missed by her family and friends. Services will be held at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, Monday September 22, 2014 starting at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Canadian Cancer Society.
