I am truly shocked and saddened by the loss of Cathy. She was a kind nurse, supportive colleague and devoted mother. I hadn't seen Cathy for several years but I have several memories that stand out to me when I think back. Some of my best night shifts at the Grace were spent working with Cathy. I specifically remember a shift where we found something so funny we laughed until tears ran down our faces. I remember Cathy telling me about when Mackenzie was born and what a special Christmas surprise he was for her girls on Christmas morning. I loved that story and think of it each Christmas. Alex, Mackenzie and Breanna, I thought the world of your mom and I am so sorry for your loss.

There are no words that I can say to ease your pain so please take comfort in knowing that Cathy leaves behind many saddened friends. Although I haven't seen her since she moved from Bradford it was so nice to find her on Facebook and reconnect. I will surely miss our banter back and forth of which I have read several times over the past few days as well as looking at all the great pictures. Grant, Breanne, Alex, Mackenzie and all of Cathy's family, I will be thinking of you today. Take care.

Grant, Alex, Mackenzie and Breanne, I will miss Cathy's wonderful stories and sense of humour. The last shift we worked together we laughed about all the crazy things that have happened to her over the years working in the ICU. She was a kind and caring nurse. Her patients were so lucky to have her care for them. She was always fun to work with and such a strong member of our nursing team. We have lost a wonderful colleague and we will miss her very much.

Dear Grant, Breanne, Alex and Mackenzie, You don't know me but Cathy and I went to high school together and shared so many laughs. She was such a fun person to be around and always had a beautiful smile on her face. Deeply shocked and sadden to hear of the tragic loss of a long time friend and colleague. Cathy was such a gentle, kind soul who really treasured the little things in life. She spoke of her dearest children with so much pride and love and in recent years the love of her life, her husband Grant. Deepest sympathy extends to them, her mother, her siblings, and the rest of her extended family. Our family at Scarborough Grace Hospital will miss her terribly and will never forget her.
