Obituary of Robert Sanderson

Sanderson, Robert Lindsay (1923 - 2014) Passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the age of 90. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Beryl and their two children, Peter (Jan) and Jane (Ed Lowe). Proud grandfather of Lucas (Amy), Joshua (Andrea), Ryan (Tracey), and Patrick (Tracy). Loving great-grandfather of Mason, Lucy, and Anna. Predeceased by sister Betty and brother Alan. Survived by sisters Jean, Marion, and Edna (Norman Fairles). Sadly missed by special brothers and sisters-in-law Harry and Barbara Schell and Gerald and Norma Brillinger. His nieces and nephews will fondly remember him for "Uncle Bud's ishes". A long-time resident of Stouffville, retired TDSB educator, avid gardener, and distinguished member of the Richardson Masonic Lodge, Robert (Sandy to some and Bud to many) was a strong supporter of The Latcham Gallery and a member of many Music Mania casts. The family thanks the staff at Caressant Care Lindsay (Mary Street) for their exceptional care and support. Cremation has occurred. Family and friends will be received at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home on Sunday,September 21 from 2 pm until celebration of life service at 3 pm.
