Marilyn Sheila Michna, aged 80, of Markham Ontario, passed away peacefully on the morning of Dec 17, 2024.

Marilyn was born in August of 1944, the child of Alice and Norman North, the eldest sibling to Carol (Gary), Norm (Susan) and Sharon. She was married in June of 1968 to Stephen Michna, mother to Matthew (Christine) and Michelle (David); and proud grandmother to Shea, Alice, Wesleigh and Catherine.

Marilyn lived her life as the absolute bedrock of love, compassion and understanding for those who knew her.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a " neighborhood mom" to those around her.  She supported everyone in her life with empathy and grace. She will be terribly missed by so many.

A general visitation and memorial service will be held at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home in Markham, Ontario on Friday December 20th at 11am, followed by an interment at Elmwood Cemetery for immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, her family suggests donations to Markham Stouffville Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society.
