Whenever I think of Roma I feel a presence of warmth and calm. She was the gentle matriarch who knew how to guide the day with clarity, respect, and humour. She seemed to take life as a big adventure, letting the day unfold before her and accepting what was given to her with grace. She was a naturally positive person and effortlessly raised the spirits of those who were lucky enough to be near her.
I was one of the lucky ones and feel blessed to have known her. Even though we didn’t see each other often during the last few years, she always made me feel completely welcome as if no time had past since our last visit. And I’d always receive a birthday card every year with the salutation “Dearest Twiddly Toes”, her hilarious nickname for me that had morphed from Twinkle Toes over the years. I will always cherish my memories of Roma.
I send my deepest condolences to her wonderful and loving family and want you to know I’m holding you in my heart and sending prayers of consoling love and peace. All my love from Lesley (Twiddly).

To Patti and all the Regan family:
I was sorry to read of Roma’s passing in yesterday’s paper.
I went to St. Patrick’s School with Patti many years ago and I have such a fond memory of having lunch at your place after a Sunday afternoon of skating on the outdoor rink at St. Pat’s. Your mom was so welcoming and immediately made me feel at home.
My deepest condolences to all of you.

My deepest sympathy on the passing of Roma. She was such a fabulous lady with a big personality and was fun and entertaining, so kind, and always seemed to be laughing or smiling. A true Matriarch, who left behind the legacy of one of the most beautiful families it has ever been my pleasure to know. You have much to remember of her and so many stories to share as you celebrate her life. Thinking of you all as you deal with your grief and sadness at her passing. Much love to you all ... I remember Roma Regan as one of the kindest, funniest and warmest people I’ve ever met. I had lunch at the Regan house almost every day during the school week in elementary school. Jo-Ann and I went to nearby St. Patrick’s School. We would enjoy a quick, delicious lunch, freeing up time for hysterical crank calls to Mrs. Anderson (the encyclopedia sales lady). The Regan’s were always so generous and open hearted to me. I am filled with nostalgia and gratitude when I think about Mr. & Mrs. Regan, Jo-Ann and the whole Regan family. Rest in peace Roma..

Dear Patti, Dan, Jo-Ann, Kathy, and Mike ~
It wasn't just her name (the uniqueness of it) or her laugh (inimitable). Or the way she hauled on her cigarettes while stationed at the kitchen island in 42 Drakefield (making bacon sandwiches) that made your mom so memorable to me. It was her irrepressible force of personality which I am absolutely sure lives on in you, her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Sincerely,
Kelly Hewson

To Jo-Ann, Stefanie and family, my sincere and deepest condolences. Your mother/grandmother was one of the sweetest humans and I am honoured I got to meet her at the few family occasions I was privileged to attend over the years of my friendship with Stefanie. She had an infectious smile with a zest for fashion and life. Her light and kind heart, which she clearly passed down to her children, will be missed. May you all find solace in memories of her. Xo

To all of my dear cousins I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of your momma. Aunty Roma was a real precious gem, a one of a kind, so lovely kind sweet and full of life. I have such fond memories of her even though I hadn’t seen her often every time I hear “Night moves” by Bob Seger I think of her and I driving in Markham singing at the top of our lungs! I can see her standing at the stove making bacon sandwiches for everyone standing with a hand on her hip the way my dad would stand must of been a family trait. Her and I attending baseball games. How much fun I had every time I visited Toronto such wonderful memories with my Aunty Roma. I wish I lived closer. Your mother was special light in this world she will always hold a special place in my heart! Hugs to you all!!
