What can you say when you lose a friend who has been in your life for over 50 years.
I have so many memories that I could share. Each one would be filled with laughter and fun. Great house parties in the 70’s, dinner parties, especially Jim addressing the haggis at the Burn’s Suppers !!
We also travelled with Irene & Jim and have great memories of distant places.
I still can’t believe she is gone and will always miss her, but I know she is with the love of her life and that eases the pain.

My dearest Irene, Where to begin. I was lucky to have met you when you and Jim first arrived in Canada through your dear friend Eileen, I believe it was 1968 sometime. So many memories every one as dear as the next. Lunches where we would meet somewhere in the middle, and talk for hours about everything and nothing, laughing all the time at some memory or another. Or phone calls when would talk for ever, and Jim would say “what did Helen have to say” and you would say “nothing really we just laughed”. Oh how I will miss those phone calls and lunches, and you. Goodbye my dearest friend I will miss you forever.

Life- is simply wonderful
But sometimes oh! so Sad
When you lose someone you treasured
The best friends that you had
Irene and Jim were so dearing
And loved in every way
Although they both have left us now
Their memories will always
Life is full of changes
And changes it does bring
In Summer we have Sunshine
And the flowers grow in Spring
In Autumn leaves start falling
And Winter brings the Rain
But no matter how life changes
Our memories stay the same

R.I.P. together
Will always be remembered never forgotten
