Obituary of Jean Elizabeth Bell

 Jean Elizabeth Bell (nee Balmer) 1930 - 2024

The family of Jean Bell are heartbroken to announce her passing at Markham Stouffville Hospital, from a brief illness, shortly before sunrise Tuesday January 16, 2024 in her 94th year. We are comforted that she was not in pain or distress and had said sad goodbyes to all of us, knowing she was at peace & ready to join the rest of her family that have gone before her. Her husband of 69 years Alex Bell (1929-2020), her son Steve Bell (1956-2022) & her grandson Jaime Lumsden (1980-2022). Her memory will forever be kept alive by her close knit family, daughter Sue (George James) Lumsden, grandkids & great grandkids, Vanessa Burton & Gigi (Georgia James) Lumsden, Jesse, Hayley, Lucy, Josie, Harrison, Betty & Lottie Lumsden, Lindsey Lumsden & Nathan McLaren, Stephanie Bell (Rob, Colton) & Corey Bell. As well as furry family Leo, Iris, Buddy & Austin.We will miss you fixing everything for us be it mending/making clothes, prom dresses, costumes, sweaters, socks & blankets. Healing our bodies with your “voodoo” magic therapeutic touch. We will miss you cheering us on in whatever sport we are participating in be it in the stands or from home. And your famous Chelsea buns forever! Rest in peace Gramma, never stop walking! Following Jean’s wishes cremation has taken place and the family will have a private celebration of life.
