Obituary of Mary Lizette Brown

Passed away peacefully at her daughter and son-in-law’s home in Mount Forest on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Loving mother of Brenda (Gerry) Lynch and Randy (Marilyn) Brown, dear grandma to Amy (Chad) Bertrand and Michael (Michelle) Jongkind, and loving GG to Karys and Tanner Bertrand. Mary was a hard-working single mom. After a successful career with the North York Board of Education, she looked forward to retirement when she would have much more time to lovingly care for her many flower gardens. Her pride and joy was the home she purchased in Markham almost 60 years ago to raise her two children. She showed her dedication to her community by spending countless hours picking up litter strewn along the roads where she walked with her canine companions every day. Mary will be sadly missed by her caring neighbours on Rouge Street in Markham. A private graveside service will be held at some time in the near future at Erskine Cemetery in Pickering.
