We had the pleasure of knowing Mary since 1984, when we met her daughter Brenda, a best friend. Mary was truly a gentle spirit. We always admired her strength of character and her strong independant nature. We visited her many times in Markham and also enjoyed her company over the years when she came to Mount Forest.
As she lived her life, she moved forward with what she referred to as her "next chapter" with grace. She was an example to all of a person who enjoyed life to its' fullest and spread her optimism to so many. May she rest in peace.
Our thoughts go out to Brenda, Randy and all the family as you say farewell to such an admirable lady.

I'm sad to hear that Mary passed but when she lived, she lived! We were neighbors for many years in Markham and it was such a pleasure to see her walk with her dog (and cat!), always returning with a bag full of litter to help beautify our neighbourhood. Her gardening skills, I always hoped to emulate and she was generous with giving me cuttings of her plants. Our dog Dudley, amoung other dogs in the hood were regular visitors at her front door for treats.
Mary showed us all how to live - to make the world a better place whenever she could. She seldom complained and was generous of spirit with her acts and words of kindess.
Brenda and Randy, I know you will miss her. Cherish your memories - you were so lucky to have her as long as you did.
with love, Laurie, Clark, Kyla, Duncan and Brett

It was a absolute pleasure getting to know Mary. Sadly our time together was short but it will always be cherished memories in my heart! Sending lots of love to Randy, Breanda and family.

Dear Brenda Lynn and Gerry and Randy and Marilyn,
I am so very sorry to hear of Mary's passing, I was so very happy that I had a chat with her last week.
I could tell by her voice that she was tired, but we had a great visit talking about Markham and her family home near
Cherrywood.
Mary was a good friend to my Mom and Dad when Brenda Lynn was a baby and she left her with my Mom for her to look after, and
my Dad had to have a romp with Brenda Lynn before she went home.
You are in our prayers as you say good bye to your Mom, I will miss our chats of old Markham and friends.
