Tammy and Family,
I want to express my sincerest condolences to all of you as I just found out today about Daryl's passing from his sales manager when I popped him a message to check on him and Tammy. Daryl and I were friends beyond the professional level and had discussed a trip to Bristol for the Nascar event, fishing, hockey etc... I truly valued him as a friend and appreciate what he did for my organization professionally as well as supporting the largest technology conference in the PNW I feel bad for waiting so long to reach out to him and know you all are in my thoughts and prayers. May peace be with all of you.

Dearest Tammy, and all those that were blessed to have such an amazing man, as a part of your lives...We are so very sorry, for your loss. Although we’ve been friends with Tammy, for a couple of decades, we only met Daryl for the first time, after they’d been dating for a little while. The absolute LOVE these two shared, was obvious to everyone that knew them. It was as if they had both won the “Lottery Of Love”, and we couldn’t have been happier for our friend Tammy, and our new friend Daryl.
May Daryl be RestIng In Peace, and may those of us, who’s hearts broke, after hearing of his sudden, and unfair passing, find strength, and peace, as time passes.
Love Leanne & Matt

To his family and to the people closest to Daryl. My deepest condolences. I can only imagine how difficult this time must be for you.
During university Daryl rented the nanny suite of our home in Sudbury. He quickly became a part of our family. My brother Noel and I were young boys at the time. Those were formative years and Daryl was like a third brother to us. It feels like we won the lottery. It didn’t matter what someone was interested in, Daryl was genuinely and enthusiastically proud of everyone in his life. I was an “artsy” kid in a mining town. I was supposed to be an outsider but Daryl never let that happen. I was always part of something amazing as long as he had a say in the matter. His influence made a real and lasting difference in my life. I will always be grateful to him for that.
I suspect that Daryl’s connection with our family is not unique. Anyone lucky enough to meet this man probably felt their family grow when he came into their lives. I’m not sure we’ll ever know another person quite like him but if we all do our best to carry as much of his beaming positivity as our hearts can lift, we might come close to honouring his legacy.
You set a high bar, Daryl. We love you.

I am so very sorry for your loss.
I am deeply saddened to hear of Daryl's passing. There just aren't enough words....
I will cherish many fond memories of Daryl growing up from Summitview, to the Polar Bears, playing pond hockey in Bristol Ponds playing ball with the Buttermakers, going to watch Brad play hockey and golfing together yearly the last few years. We had lots of laughs my friend. My favourite memory of Daryl will be his beaming smile and that he was gentle, kind and one of the most respectful kids around! He will be missed.

Very sorry to hear about the loss of Daryl. Daryl was all heart. I always enjoyed all the times i had with Daryl, golfing, Da Bills, Beer can chicken Tuesdays. One of the best memories i have of Daryl leading with love was when i got engaged the first time. Daryl who wore a sweater of hair on his chest and back, had shaved a big heart into his thick chest hair in honour of me and my fiancee at the time and proudly displayed for all to see that night at the old shoeless in Markham. Daryl will be missed. Condolences to Linell and the boys and to all of his family.❤️

To say that Daryl will be missed is an understatement. He was quick to find the joy in everyday life. Always armed with a witty joke or helpful advice, knowing Daryl was a pleasure. A story that will always come to mind will be the time I shared a King Cake with him when we were in New Orleans for FETC. I told him the story of the King Cake and the significance of finding the baby figurine in the cake. As luck would have it, Daryl found the baby. I wish I could have taken a picture of the smile he had on his face! Ever since then, Daryl kept the baby figurine at his desk and would proudly show it off on Zoom and Teams calls. I would laugh every time.
Daryl was indeed blessed and in turn was a blessing to me and all who knew him.
Rest in peace, my friend.

Ken, Linell and families - I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Daryl,s passing. My condolences to his wife and the entire family. Daryl and I reconnected our friendship when he coached Tyler in his first year and I managed. We definitely had a lot of fun and laughs. Then we would meet up from time to time in the rinks when Tyler and Connor played against each other. You will be truly missed. Rest in peace my dear friend. Lisa Davis
