My heartfelt condolences to Auntie Rose, Julie, Jill and your families. Uncle Hank was always a fun and upbeat person to be with. I use to love watching Mom Sheppard and Uncle Hank do the “twin thing”, it was always entertaining. Very sorry not to be able to attend the funeral today. Watched it virtually and it was a wonderful tribute to a wonderful man. Love, Cathie Sheppard

My children and I have happy memories of my brother and their uncle Hank. Jake remembers how special it was that uncle Hank and auntie Rose came to his wedding. Maryann remembers their warm hospitality when she and her family made a trip to Canada and they could park their camper on their property. I remember Hank as my dear big brother. Too bad we lived so far away, but when I visited, he would take Margo and me out to a fancy place for dinner. My thoughts and prayers are with you all tomorrow and in the days to come. Love , Joyce

My sincerest condolences to my honorary “Auntie Rose”, Julie, Jill and their families. I have such great memories of “Uncle Hank” at picnics, house parties and visits to the always welcoming Smit’s family home. Indelible is the memory of dancing around their living room to “Obladi oblada life goes on”one of Hank‘s favourite Beatles songs. Thinking of him enjoying life puts a big smile on my face.

Our condolences to Rose and family. My mom Audrey and dad Bud enjoyed Hank's sense of humour, always smiling, great businessman and truly loved Rose and his family. What a terrific gentleman. I was so fortunate to spend time as a child visiting the Smits and sharing lots of fun and laughs. I remember he like ABBA and there was some interesting dance moves!
