Dear, sweet Aunty Martha will be greatly missed! She was such a kind and loving soul. So many childhood memories run through my mind…from her beautiful gardens with the little pathways and her endless lily-of-the-valley flowers that I loved, piano lessons at her house every week, usually followed by a visit and cookies, playing scrabble with her, all of the smiles and laughter and hugs we shared. She loved to remind me of the night I stayed with her and Uncle Joe, and the two of us ate a whole bag of candy, and I would reply that that was supposed to be a secret. She was my second mother, and I loved her dearly. I will carry her always in my heart. Lifting you all up in prayer as we grieve together, but also celebrate a beautiful life.
Much love,
Debbie and family

I have many fond memories of Martha as I was growing up in Denbigh. Martha, Joe and their children always attended St. Paul’s Lutheran church where me and my family attended when they were at their summer home in Denbigh. We also had many, many visits together at her sister Lila Kranz’s cottage over the years. She had a huge zest for life and always a big smile. She was a person who accepted life as it happened and her love for family and friends really shone through her smile. May she rest in peace, Sincerely Judith Stein

What a long and remarkable life your mother had. Thinking of you all and regret being away for the visitation and service.
