My deepest condolences to the Macdonald family. The loss of a mother is like no other and I feel your pain. May the love and memories and life lessons learned bring you comfort at this very sad time. Though she is not with you in body, she is still with you in spirit and will intercede on your behalf in her heavenly home. I life loved is a life lived and though I have never met her, the love emanates from all the words shared about this amazing woman. This giving life lived, will live on with the legacy she leaves behind in all the lives she has touched. May you find comfort at this sad time and always feel her with you.

My high school years were spent with 'Tricia' at Sutton District High School. I have many wonderful memories of those years and life at the Porter farm. The pictures posted show the happy, caring person that she was...she did not change...still the big, happy, welcoming smile. Tricia loved people and had a wonderful way about her. We lost touch over the years and the last time I visited with her was in Calgary, just before our friend Joan passed away. The last time I saw Tricia, still as lovely as ever, was at Joe's visitation, but though she was welcoming and chatty, we realized that she did not know us.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Pat was a founding member of St. Pat's Choir and such a cheerful support to us for many years. I often depended on her to get things organized, particularly at the Christmas Midnight Mass when the choir would enter in procession. Wantng to keep focused on the music, I would say "Pat, get them lined up" and I would head into the church. Those 65 adults were never easy to organize but whatever problems arose, she did not burden me with them. When I felt discouraged and ready to quit, she would talk me down. At one point, she and Joe even gave us their house to live in while they were on vacation and we were moving to our new house and the place was not ready but the previous home was sold and closed. Generous and cheerful - add your voice now to those heavenly choirs!

Our Condolences for Mrs Patricia McDonald children & family. i first met Mrs MacDonald while my 3 children were at St. Edwards school.around 1986.i had a very pleasant experience with both Staff & teachers..She was very kind & caring, always has a huge smile. My 1st encounter with her is when she brought my son home when he was injured at school. I later met her when I joined St. Patrick’s church Choir.
Where a beautiful soul has traveled, beautiful memories remain forever. She will be remembered by our old choir members as pleasant and enjoyable..may her soul be reunited with her most pleasant husband Joe.May her family find comfort in God’s infinite graces? . Rest in Peace.Pat. .

I worked with Pat at the school board office and loved her straight forward approach and management style. Her former boss recently passed away so may they be reunited in eternal peace and happiness in the arms of God along with her husband and friends. God bless!

Dear Craig, Jackie, Mike and Patti and Families. We send our heartfelt love and condolences as you journey through these days saying farewell to your lovely, caring Mom Patricia. As we look back over the years of our friendship with the MacDonald Family, there are so many fun times to recall. Pat and Joe were such a loving couple and a great example of loving, prudent parenting. Boy oh boy they certainly loved a good game of bridge. Their involvement in the community of Markham is a treasure to remember, along with their commitment to the Faithful of St. Patrick’s Parish. We hold in our hearts our friendship with them and your Family.
