Bjarne’s family sadly announce his passing on February 18, 2023, at the age of 81, after a prolonged battle with cancer.

Bjarne is predeceased by his parents, Poul and Erna, and his brother-in-law, Hans.  He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Helen, his sister, Sonja, his stepdaughter Natalie (Guy), grandsons Nicholas, Evan, Jason, his niece Lena (Rick), his nephews Torben (Lisa) and Kevin (Rebecca), as well as a great niece and several great nephews.

Bjarne was a skilled craftsman and a sheet metal worker for many years and became his union’s Business Representative and Pension Trustee.

Memorial donations in honour of Bjarne may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society as gifts of remembrance.
