Ruth, and her late husband Burt, were close friends of my late husband, Gib,,and I. Ruth and I were colleagues and friends in the Scarborough Board of Education and our husbands became friends while we were on the conference/trip to France, Germany and Switzerland in the late 80's. When Ruth was an art supervisor I would inform her at the beginning of the year if she could look forward to a challenging or easy year depending on whether I was teaching art or not.
My home is filled with Burt's paintings most of which have been framed by Ruth. I will always have memories of Ruth and Burt.
