The Markham Village Conservancy sends our deepest condolences to Dorothy's family. Dorothy was a founding member of the Conservancy and we were enriched by her dedication, enthusiasm and friendship. Her contributions to our efforts to preserve the heritage of Markham VIllage include the restoration of the Markham Village Train Station. Dorothy's legacy lives on in the many volunteer endeavours and people she touched in our community. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Hi Grandma, you are so loved and I can’t believe what an amazing impact you had on my life. I am so grateful to have had 30 years on this earth with you as my grandma, and I hope you are at peace in heaven’s most beautiful gardens as we speak. I will never forget when I was 5 years old and we grew sunflowers in the backyard from seeds until they were taller than me. I will always remember you when I take care of my garden. Love Emily
