Obituary of Siegfried Jurgen Krauss

Siegfried Jurgen Krauss, passed into the presence of his Lord and Savior at Sunrise Retirement Home in Unionville on November 3, 2022. He is survived by his wife, Morag, daughter, Heather, and granddaughters, Alyssa and Katie.

Known to friends and family as “Fred” and “Freddy,” Fred was born to Melanie and Rudolf Krauss, the second of three brothers in 1936. Fred spent his early years in Germany before coming to Canada in 1958 to find a job but instead found the meaning of life in Jesus Christ. Thereafter, he dedicated his life to serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for nearly 60 years.

Fred travelled throughout North America, teaching from the Bible and explaining the way of salvation. In his spare time, Fred was an avid gardener, violinist, and an excellent baker.

Fred enjoyed leading several Christian tours to Israel, Turkey, Egypt, Italy and Great Britain in the 1980s and 1990s. He will be greatly missed and forever loved in our hearts.

Much appreciation is extended to all those who prayed and supported Fred in his lifelong ministry. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Fred to Bethany Lodge, 23 Second Street, Unionville, Ontario L3R 2C2. A private funeral is planned.
