The Empringhams were our next door neighbours in Agincourt. The dawn of my youth. Scott was my best friend. With his ubiquitous box of Sunmaid raisins in hand, we traversed every inch our our little street searching for adventure. It was a golden time to be a kid. Through the wide-eyed wonder of childhood I recall a wealth of fond memories of all those early days I shared with Scott.
As was typical of life in the 1950s, neighbours looked out for one another and our families were very close.
Eventually we each moved to Markham but went to different schools so we soon lost touch.
Due to our parallel lives Scott’s name would occasionally come up in conversation and it was always conveyed to me he was a genius regarding all things mechanical and a person of great integrity.
I was saddened to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family and everyone who knew him.
Sincerely, Danny Regan

To Kris and Family,
Very sorry to hear of your loss. Scott truly was a one of a kind guy. He had a great sense of humor and always had a joke expression to suit any occasion. As others have mentioned he was a car guy that everyone else looked up to. I can still remember driving around in his Olds Cutlass, more than likely heading to Super Boys for a "mud"
So many good memories!
