Hello Cathi
I am so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I played hockey with him on Tuesdays and Thursdays after we retired. I always admired his quiet gentlemanly way of dealing with everyone. He is sorely missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Jack was one of the good guys, he will be missed. I played ball and hockey with him for many years, he was a superb athlete. He also fixed my back fence and my old deck and built a newer deck for me as well, with his partner. I was sorry to hear from him that he wasn't doing that work any more, I think it was because of his back. It's true what they say - "the good die young" ..... very sad !!!!

I can’t believe I am writing this about a friend who just a short time ago was so vital and healthy. Jack used to drive me crazy when he would fly past me on the ice. He loved taking the puck off me or, as a teammate, passing to me. Great teammate and ferocious competitor. He will be missed by all of us who knew him. Keep him in your heart.
RIP Jack and God bless Cathi and your family.

I’m shocked and saddened to hear about Jack’s passing. Jack and the rest of our T50 curling team-mates had our good time curling together in the early years of this competitive league at Unionville CC. That was the first time I ever came across a guy so athletic in so many sport-fields. Just amazing!
May Jack Rest In Peace, and his family gets over this difficult time soon.

While I only played ball with Jack, his grace and cheerfulness in a cerebral game shone through and he always knew what to do with the ball when it came to him. He had a certain dignity about him and I expect this shone through too in his game of life. We will miss him on all the playing fields. You’ve found your rest Jack and the peace it provides.

Shocked and saddened to hear this news. I've played hockey with Jack in the MMRHL literally for decades. One of the fastest skaters on the ice and a great competitor, but always cheerful and smiling. Great company after. Condolences to the entire Regan family.

I was sorry to hear about Jack's passing.
I played with him a couple of times, on the same team, during my tenure in MORSL, where I played for many years. While on Peter Kennedy's team, we won the Mid-Season Tournament, going 7 and 0; also in the same year, at the Barbeque, they had an event where the object was to throw the ball, completely around the bases, going in both directions, and the people with the fastest time, won the contest. We were victorious, and this team consisted of: Peter Kennedy, Jack Regan, Paul Birdsall, and myself; everyone received a Rawlings Baseball Bag.
Jack will be sorely missed.
With deepest sympathy,
David Fisher

I knew Jack first as a teaching colleague at Albert Campbell Collegiate in Scarborough. Jack was superb educator with high standards along with deep compassion for the struggling students. We were team mates and opponents in the Scarborough Teacher's Hockey tournaments for many years. It was Jack who invited me into the Markham Men's Recreational Hockey League and the Markham Ontario Recreational Softball League. I shall always remember his kindness which he always displayed along with his strong competitive drive. Rest well, Jack.

Jack will live on in the hearts of so many who were lucky enough to know him. Jack had a diversity of talents and know how. Jack and Cathi dropped in at our cottage on their way home one day and Jack decided to help me build a deck and a set of stairs. I think of him every time I cross that deck. if you needed help with anything, Jack would be there. Then there was the time he decided would ride down the Minden white water Pan Am kayak course without a kayak! There weren't enough gauze pads to hide the scrapes. Of course there were no complaints. My bet was he would try it again one day. Family meant everything to Jack.
Jack's greatest legacy is Cathi and the family Jack and Cathi built together, all of whom will keep Jack in their hearts until they leave this earth as will many of his friends.
Our deepest sympathy to Cathi, Lisa Andrew and your entire family.
