Obituary of Murray Clemens Sewell
SEWELL, Murray Clemens
1931 - 2022
It is with heavy hearts our family announces the sudden passing of Murray Sewell on April 25th 2022 in his 91st year. He was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Murray was born to Frank and Beryl Sewell in Cedar Grove, Ontario on August 4th 1931. Those left to mourn his loss are his spouse Peggy J Sewell as well as his children Deborah (Kevin) McConomy and Kevin (Shelley) Sewell, his grandchildren Stephen (Emily), Erica (Matt), Riley and Emma and his great-grandchild Hudson. He leaves this world to join his parents, his sister Margaret (Jack) and Elinor.
Murray cherished his family, loved to have fun, and had an amazing sense of humour. He was an amazing role model and father figure always willing to listen and provide guidance when asked and loved sharing his many “Murrayisms” with us. He loved his Toronto Maple Leafs and all things with wheels; Harley motorcycles, cars, trucks and tractors. He was outstanding in his field and worked and cut grass at "The Riv" into his 89th year. Murray never complained, he was a very practical man even when life became more difficult in the past year when his health declined. As the patriarch of our family, he taught us well.
As per Murray’s request, there will not be a service. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation.
Dad, we love you. Put your feet up, lay your head back, close your eyes and relax. We've got this.
We promise to make you proud.
