Dear Sandra,
Our deepest sympathies to you, Wayne, Andrew and rest of the family
Arthur was the happiest man, 52 years ago, when you said "I DO" and that you would take care of him in sickness and
in health. You did that and more. We are proud of you Sandra.
Art's garage was a popular auto shop to have your car repaired as well as a gathering place for customers and friends
of Arthur's where they would discuss and find solutions to local and global crises and meetings continued for about 20 years
until Arthur retired in 2002. However little did anyone know at the time that these meetings would turn out to be a powerful
source of strength to draw from during these pandemic years 2020, 2021, 2022 so far. Whenever you feel bored, stressed-out
or isolated, we would go back to those good old days and immediately, we would be jolted into thinking of positive memories
again of those hilarious never-to-be-forgotten days at Art's garage!
We miss you Arthur and may you rest in peace

Dear Sandra,
Tenny and I were so sad to hear of Arthur's passing. We were both so hopeful when I reported that I saw Arthur with a full head of hair and looking so youthful. Arthur was "the Car Guy" who always gave valuable advice on car repair issues or when debating the purchase of a new car or keeping the old one. Our condolences to you and your sons, on this sad occasion. As believers we have hope in our Lord Jesus Christ that although the loss of a loved one is sad for us here on earth, there is nothing but sheer joy for those in heaven above, as Arthur is welcomed into the loving arms of our Lord.
May the Lord bless you and comfort you as you grieve the loss of your beloved husband.
Aloha, Janice & Tenny Soon Fah

I was profoundly sorry to hear of Art's passing. Judy and I enjoyed dinner with him and Sandra at friends' house. We were impressed with his all-round knowledge of many subjects in conversation with him. He was quiet, courteous and kind to everyone. I know he placed his faith in Jesus as his Lord and Saviour as I did and will receive eternal life. I shall miss his daily emails which were so educational and edifying to my spirits. I passed them on to friends. RIP. Love and prayers to Sandra and family. Ron and Judy Lee

Art's Garage was synonymous with Midwest Avenue where we would go and, in addition to getting our vehicles serviced, socialize with an always smiling Arthur and talk about current events be it politics, sports or anything in between. He would often times chide me for wanting to overspend on unnecessary repairs and also point out who were having sale on tires or other car parts, if you in the market for those items, and to help save you some money. Arthur's legacy will be his honesty, integrity, selflessness and wanting to help out others in anyway he could. May his soul RIP.

Auntie, Wayne, Andrew and Soerha,
I am so saddened to know that Uncle has left us. I will forever miss his quiet demeanor, pensive glances, and big hugs. He was like my second Dad - always willing to teach me something, always happy to see me. I remember quite vividly back in my teenage years when I would wake up late on Sunday mornings, only to find friends and family in the kitchen having a laugh with mommy and daddy over a well stocked JA brunch, it was a welcoming sight to see uncle perched on the tall chair.
He was a good man with a beautiful spirit - I feel lucky to have been a part of his journey, and know he is standing tall with his parents in heaven...and hopefully having some good jokes with mommy and daddy up there too.
Love,
Mich

Hello Aunty Sandra, Wayne, Andrew and family.
I was so sad to hear uncle Arthur was admitted to palliative care last week and a few days later uncle passing. Please accept my deepest condolences.
As a young man, I have always remember going to uncle garage down at Midwest. Uncle always had a gentle personality and honest recommendation regarding your car service.
I can still remember Uncle Arthur smile at the family dinners and I would always ask how you are doing. Never a negative response. Uncle always answered I'm ok and doing as well as I can. I just imagined he would always be at the family dinners.
Uncle you will forever be missed at our family dinner.

Words can not describe how sad we feel of Arthur's passing. You guys are like family to us, never missing to share in our happy and sad times. You celebrated with us seeing our grandchildren growing from babies to adults, attending the many functions and dinners.
Arthur had a calm and quite disposition. He gave an ear to people's problem.
Although, he is not with us anymore, these memories will never be forgotten. He had a long battle with his illness.
May he rest in peace with his beloved departed families and friends.

Hi Aunt Sandra,
My thoughts are with you and family.
If I close my eyes "I can hear Uncle Arthur's voice!!".....and it always comes with a SMILE !!!!
BTW the picture I see flipping between a fairly current and to one in b&w with eyeglasses and bowtie....he could be a current K-pop artist :)
I remember fondly of taking my cars for Uncle to service/fix....and he would ALWAYS take the time to explain. I remember him explaining AND showing "how" simple it is to bleed the brake fluid and refill. For whatever reason this comes to mind !!

Hi Sandra,
Please accept my condolences and this little note:
Many of us guys from the younger generation passed through the different garages Arthur had over the years. We learnt a lot about fixing cars but most of all about life. Arthur took the time to teach us and passed on his knowledge and wisdom. Some of us became mechanics and other went on to do other things. But one thing for sure he made a difference in the lives of each one of us. I know for sure he did mine, if not for this great man, I would not be the man I am today and where I have reach in life. May God rest his soul.
Sincerely,
Raymond
