Obituary of Richard Powell
Powell, Richard (Rick) - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rick on Thursday, January 6th 2022.
He will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend, Mary (Bigioni), daughter Jennifer Clement (Tim) and precious granddaughters Charli and Marlowe. Loving brother to Debbie Blair (Don). Beloved uncle to the Lee, Bigioni, Foscarini and Blair nieces and nephews, and many much loved cousins. Predeceased by most loving parents Alf and Rene Powell and sister Brenda. A wonderful and caring man throughout his life, Rick has richly earned the love and respect of family and friends. We are grateful for the extraordinary and compassionate care of his oncology team at Markham Stouffville Hospital led by Dr. Sam Babac, and palliative care Dr. Patterson as well as lovely nurse Maria.
With this devastating loss, for a time, there is a diminishing of light and laughter in our world. We love you Ricky. You will never be forgotten.
Friends will be received at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road) Markham on Wednesday January 12th 2022 from 1pm until time of service in the chapel at 2pm. Spots are limited, we kindly ask you to reserve your spot here.
