I was so sad to hear of Stan's passing. Such a kind, gracious and fun loving husband and father. Rebecca always had the greatest father/daughter stories: from gardening, to golf to pool floaties. But her stories about how Stan looked after her when she needed it most inspired me to be a more engaged Dad with my own daughter. Stan will be missed but never forgotten by all. Dear Joanne,
Thea and I were very sad to hear that Stan had died. We heard the news from various sources, including one from Greg in Australia.
Stan was a smart ,honest, very decent man with a great sense of humour and a love of life. I have very fond memories of playing golf with Stan, Maurice and occationally Greg, and following that with a fine dinner at your house.Losing two friends in 18 months is not good.

My personal condolences to Joanne, Shirley and the Family.
What a beautifully written and moving tribute to our solid and loyal friend, Stan Hodge.
We could only add, as Ted Fletcher expressed- quiet, friendly and humble.
I will always have my memories- Lachine High, Friday-Night Club, Dixie Park, RMGC, golfing at the old Summerlea and LaSalle Golf Clubs, and many, many more.

A man that I have had the pleasure of knowing for my entire life. A trusted neighbour, friend to our family, a kind and loving father.
I will forever remember Stans special connection with Becky, and how much he did for all of the kids that were welcomed through the doors of their house.

I first met Stan when you and he joined C-I-L IR in Montreal from the university co-op program and our paths have continued to cross since the C-I-L corporate move to Toronto and even up to our semi annual alumni gatherings at the Spring Garden Legion. It has always been so good to meet again and chat with Stan, reminisce, share travel stories and get updated on Stan and yours golfing adventures. Stan was such a great soul to know, especially when starting a job in a new city. He was generous with his knowledge and cooking, curling and golf skills - all-round great guy. His chili ( chow-chow) was fantastic! I will miss him. My heartfelt condolences to Joanne, Becky, and Peter.
