I met Ian when I first joined OPG (then Ontario Hydro) in 1974 and, of course, liked him immediately. Later I would go on to work for Ian on the Bruce project. After he retired, I would see Ian at the annual Christmas party.
I can say without hesitation that Ian was one of the most popular engineers in the Power Equipment Department. He was an extremely capable engineer and manager and if you met him, you liked him. Unfortunately many of his colleagues have already passed or there would be many more remembrances.
My condolences to his loving family.
