I only just head about the passing of Mrs. Deonarine. She was such a pleasant and kind person. I have not seen her since I left Cachet, but my mind would always run to her. My deepest condolences.

Condolences to the Deonarine and Clarke families on the loss of our dear Auntie Pearlie. She was loved dearly by her devoted daughter Joy (Mike), granddaughters Kathryn (Richard) Michelle and Allison, great grandchildren Penny and Ethan, and Auntie’s youngest daughter Lenore. Auntie Pearlie was always kind, cheerful and hospitable to us, the Bhola family, long before she was married. I ( Lystra ) was a flower girl for her wedding and my older brother Lincoln was the page boy. Our families stayed closely in touch up to this day. We shared numerous visits and family events both in Canada and Trinidad. Her generous nature ...whether it was to share produce from her garden, or disclose culinary secrets (black cake was my favourite), her love of flowers or her interest for updates about our lives attest to our close family relationship. She and my mom Phyllis Bhola were like sisters who giggled like young girls during “tea” time whenever we shared funny stories about the good old days or our families. Auntie Pearlie was truly a gem in every way. We loved her unconditionally and our wonderful memories of her will always be cherished.
From Lystra and Mohinder Kauldher, children Leon and Sangeeta and the rest of the Bhola family.

I thoroughly enjoyed every moment I spent with Aunty Pearlie. Growing up, hers was the fun house with delicious food and snacks. Aunty Pearlie was always quick with sound advice regardless of the challenge. She loved telling the story of the time I volunteered to baby sit Lenore, never mind Lenore was a teenager and I was a tiny tot. Love always Aunty.
