To Sean and Michael and Lindsay and Mary's extended family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Mary at Evergreen Hospice for two years many years ago and so enjoyed my time with her. She was often the first contact for clients and families when they phoned for assistance and she touched so many lives with her concern, interest, kindness and thoughtfulness. I truly enjoyed her funny sense of humour and quick wit. I know that she will be dearly missed. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Sean and Michael, please accept our condolences for the sudden passing of your dear mother, Mary. We were blessed to have known her for over 35 yrs after we were first introduced to her through Sean and Brian. Although our time together was frequently interrupted by our long distance moves, we managed to maintain friendship between our two families. We always looked forward for every opportunity we got to meet with her as she was always warm and easy to talk to. We were fortunate to have her celebrate Brian’s son, Lynx baptism with us.
Mary may have gone from our sight but never from our hearts.
May she Rest In Peace!
Jellowe and Robert Baynit

Hi Guys,
We lost a real beauty last week.
We are thinking of Mary and Peter a lot over the past week. They were a couple of “Fonzy’s” always cool, calm and collected. Forever presenting a UNITED FRONT concerning what was going on (or what was about to go on) with the boys and their friends.
Whether it was teaching the language of “la belle province” or helping out at the hospice, the Patterson’s had a heavy community presence. They seemed to always put the needs of others first and their lightheartedness was always warming and welcoming.
The sun was always shining over 206 Larkin!!
The apples don’t fall far from the tree as Sean and Mike fit right into their parents wonderful disposition. Always willing to help and put themselves out for others.
Peter and Mary held their duties as parental models in high regard and in my opinion raised 2 of the best. Always keep their value front of mind on your journey boys.
Our sincerest condolences, we love you both, we are here for anything you need.
Love Clea, Matt, Ruby, Parks and Cooper
P.S.
Micheal don’t ever forget

Sending my heartfelt condolences to Sean, Michael and family. "Irish Mary" as my kids lovingly called Mary, was a strong, witty and generous person. I was so fortunate to work with her at Evergreen Hospice and to remain friends since then. We would have long lunches a few times per year to catch up on our families' news. She was my mentor for how to raise teenage boys and she was extremely proud of her sons, Sean and Michael and all that they have accomplished. And there is no doubt that Mary absolutely loved her granddaughter Ellie. We shared stories, laughs, photos and agreed that being a grandmother was the best.
Mary's generosity knew no limits. She never wanted anyone to be cold and she regularly gave me bags of beautiful hand-knitted sweaters, hats, mitts and baby clothes to give to family clients at the charities that I have worked at. Mary made life better for many and lived life well. She will be terribly missed but never forgotten. Always in our hearts - rest in peace dear friend.

my condolences to Mary's family. She was a proud, loving mother and grandmother. She was so happy to be a grandmother to Ellie. I knew Mary from volunteering at Evergreen Hospice. We enjoyed some great lunches together after she retired. She will be missed. Donna Gedir

My deepest condolences to Mary’s family.
I work at Parkview LTC Home where your mom came to visit.
She was always encouraging, optimistic and so supportive of the staff in the Home.
I enjoyed our weekly chats pre-COVID.
When COVID hit, Mary would call or email me regularly to check in.
Her favourite topic was her precious granddaughter, whom she cherished.
I hadn’t heard from Mary recently and was actually thinking of her this past weekend.
I was heartbroken when I learned of her passing.
Please know that your mom left an indelible impression on my heart and I am so blessed to have known her albeit casually, she was very special.
I hope you find peace and comfort knowing others are praying for you.

Dear Sean and Michael
My sincerest condolences to you both. Your mom was always to sweet, so kind and positive, and it was a true privilege to have had the opportunity to work alongside her during my volunteer years with Evergreen Hospice. I can only begin to imagine how thrilled she would have been to become a grandmother, and there would be none more loving. I pray that all the wonderful memories that you have of your time with your mom will bear you up in the weeks and months ahead. Sincerely, Carol Wildgoose
