Dear Beth and family,
I had the privilege of working with your Dad at Fitzpatrick Physiotherapy and later Physiobility. With a ready smile your Dad engaged everyone around him. We shared stories about one of his physicians Dr. Darling at TGH who also assisted my dad on many occasions. Your dad was aware that she was one of the recipients of my garage sale fundraising for Esophageal Cancer and she was a wonderful thoracic surgeon who shared your dads great sense of humourand cared for him professionally and competently. We both admired that she did everything in high heels. They shared jokes. So very important to lighten everyone's load. I was always amazed at your dad's memory of clean jokes. I also remember when your dad delivered a pool pump donated by Donna Fitzpatrick for our Cystic Fibrosis Research garage sale. My dad an electrical engineer refurbished it and it serves many years at my parents pool. Thank you Steve and Donna. Such a steal.
Over my retirement years i would run into your dad at T and T Bakery and get up to date. Such a wonderful suggestion of supporting local Markham business as a donation request. Such an easy task.
My husband Laurie knows your dad from the Morsl baseball league. Your father was so very proud of his adult children and their families and was happy to share pleasant memories. We are very sorry for your loss. Your dad had a "life well-lived that leaves a beautiful bouquet of memories."
May these memories bring you comfort during this period of grief.
Sincerely
Corinne, Laurie, Scott and Kristen Roberts

I met Steve years ago, through Renae, and he immediately struck me as a kind man… a man with an infectious smile and a big heart. I was right.
Steve loved people and welcomed the opportunity to make new friends. Every year he attended our cancer fundraising event -happy to be there, happy to support, happy to share his laughter.
Steve will be remembered as the man whose heart was as big as his smile.
I’m truly sorry for your loss. May his memory live forever in your hearts.

We have some fond memories of Steve. Although it has been a while since we have spoken with him, we do remember his pleasant personality very well. Steve was involved with the entertainment committee and Lodge bingo fund-raising which lead to the Markham Union Lodge Super Bowl party. Steve cooked up his chili for our celebration that day. He also entered chili cook-offs and never would divulge his recipe. Steve introduced me to the euchre club at Colonel Mustard's, where we played. We were also neighbours for a while on the same street and kept in contact then. To his family, we give our heartfelt condolences.

Fitzpatrick Physiotherapy
It is with great sadness I learn of the passing of Beloved Stephen MacLeod. I had the privilege of meeting this fine man under tragic and traumatic circumstances. On his very long and difficult journey in Rehabilitation we developed a mutual respect and a unique and wonderful friendship that lasted for years.
Steve, intelligent, sincere, and delightful was highly motivated to overcome his many challenges.
Blessed with a great sense of humor, and an infectious laugh, he was indeed a pleasure to care for.
I shall forever cherish our enjoyable times together. Especially participating in Bonspiels and the Women's Slow Pitch Baseball we so adored. Steve, along with Paul Birdsall were Team, Fitzpatrick Physiotherapy, "Candid Coaches," for many seasons. They were dedicated, and prioritized having fun. There is no doubt that he will be most fondly remembered by my teamates.
Part of Steve's recovery involved work assimilation. He so generously provided endless hours in my clinic, primarily in an IT capacity, however, he was also my "Man Friday." His dedication, pleasantries and wonderful wit charmed everyone that entered the office. He will be greatly missed.
Sincere Condolences to the MacLeod Family, especially, Sweet Beth. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. I have been Blessed to enjoy such a Great Gentleman in my Life..
May God Bless You All'
Sincerely, Donna Fitzpatrick

Steve and I met at a Senior Singles Club in the spring of 2014 but I really got to know him when he was running for Councilor in Markham and I helped him deliver flyers. As time passed, we grew closer and we spent a lot of time enjoying each other's company. He always made me feel special and he always made me laugh.
.
Together we travelled to Costa Rica, New York City, Ottawa and many times to St. Joseph, Michigan and Chicago. When we travelled, it was natural for him to stop and strike up a conversation with other people on the street. If we attended a Club function, he always made the rounds at everyone else's table to say hello.
On many occasions when there was a question that nobody could answer, someone would say "ask Steve, he'll know"..and he did.
Steve was honest and had integrity. Once when we were loading groceries in the car, we realized we picked up two bags of ice but only paid for one. Steve insisted on going back to the store and paying for the 2nd bag.
This wonderful, intelligent, friendly, funny, and extremely honest man didn't deserve all the physical battles he had to endure.
I have many fond memories of the time we spent together and I am grateful that he was a part of my life.
Steve, I will miss you deeply.
