Obituary of Alexander Forbes Bell
Alexander Forbes Bell passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at Amica Swan Lake at the age of 91. Beloved husband and best friend for 69 years of Jean Bell (née Balmer).
He will be sadly missed but always remembered by his daughter Susan (George Lumsden) and his son Steven. He was the loving Gramps to Jaime Lumsden (Vanessa), Jesse Lumsden (Hayley) & Lindsey Lumsden (JP); Bumps to Stephanie Bell & Corey Bell; and Great-Gramps to Lucy, Josie, Harrison, Betty, & Lottie Lumsden.
In 1972, Alex founded Bellshire Limited, making folding cartons primarily for the cosmetics trade. He was a charter member of the Victoria Village Civitan Club. Alex loved to work with wood, either making furniture or refinishing old pieces.
He survived so many health problems but the last fall was the end. The family will be having a private gathering at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at www.dixongarland.com.
