I was fortunate to call Art a friend.
We met at IBM in the late 60's and worked on many projects together. Including a project for IATI (INt'l Air Transit Authority) in Zurich, and six weeks in NY City.
For some years, Art & I and two other close friends would meet on Friday evening for an adult beverage with many others and then disappear to share a dinner with the four of us.
We spent many summer weekends in a car rally club touring rural Ontario. Art drove, I navigated and we shared chef duties for the gourmet picnic at the finish line.
He taught me how to solve the Sunday Globe and Mail crossword, and sometimes it was completed in one sitting.
I will miss my gentle brilliant friend. He will make the angels smile at his dry humor.
