Mr. William's was my Grade 10 English & home room teacher, in the old library at MDHS in around 1961 - 62. He was a wonderful man & a great teacher. I vividly remember him telling us about how he learned Gray's Elegy in a Country Churchyard while he was waiting to be deployed in Italy during WWII. He learned one line per day, but on hot to about line 12 or so, before having to join the fight.
My sincere condolences on your loss.
Douglas Chant
