I had the pleasure of meeting dear Betty many years ago at Unionville Alliance Church. She was very faithful in attending and I looked forward to seeing her every week. She hasn’t been able to attend for quite some time now and I have missed seeing her regularly.
This morning I thought of Betty when I read:
“Satisfy us in the morning with Your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” Psalm 90:14
Betty faced many challenges in her life yet, when I spent time with her, I always sensed a spirit of joy and gladness in her Saviour, Jesus Christ. Her testimony encouraged me as a young Christian.
Betty also told me that the best way to learn how to make pies was to practice. Betty knew how to make a good pie!
Remembering Betty with fondness today and with prayers for the hearts of those she has left behind.

It is with sadness that I have heard of Betty's passing. She was a beautiful woman who lovingly welcomed me when I first went to Unionville Alliance Church. We the belonged to the same Bible Study group with the Karams. She is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour. "Absent from the body present with the Lord." She leaves a legacy of Christian love and caring. She will be missed. My condolences to Betty's family. She will be missed. Sincerely Carole.

I never had the pleasure too meet this beauitful women. I am a co worker of her daughter Laurie who I have worked with for many years. Laurie has showed me many picture of her mother and when they are together. I have seen many pictures of her wearing her Blue Jay shirt. I know that she was always smiling, well dressed, hair was done and also her make up also done. One other things that alway will stand out for me with Mrs Holden is that she was, and will always big one of the biggest BLUE JAY fans. When the season starts back up next year you will be wearing your shirt and yelling "GO JAYS GO".
To the rest of the family, my family will pray for you all and know that she is with you all each and everyday in everything that you do. Our deepest condonlences.

Although it's been a long time since I saw her, I have many fond memories of my Aunt Betty during my childhood years. Our families spent a lot of time together as she and my Mom (Jeanne Lister) were very close. I always remember her sense of humour and good nature. My sincere condolences to Laurie, Bob, Jennifer and Betty's extended family.

We have known Betty for a very long time through Unionville Alliance Church. She was such a wonderful person who loved God completely and had a great wit. She was always smiling and encouraging others. We have missed her for many years, as she could not attend church in person. I have often thought of her and sent a little prayer heavenward for her. She will be thoroughly missed on this earth but will have a grand time with her God and the angels in heaven. We will meet again.

I remember Betty serving coffee for the Ladies Bible Study alongside Doris Hockley. She was a faithful member of the UAC choir and would always lend a hand to those needing help with the fasteners on the gown. Betty was a Godly woman who left behind a wonderful testimony.

My condolences to Betty 's family. I used to enjoy visits to Betty's apartment years ago with the Caring Ministry team at UAC. Betty's faith, honesty, and sense of humour were things that I have never forgotten. I know that she was so looking forward to meeting Jesus face to face, so I am happy for her, though of course the loss will be experienced nonetheless by her family.
Betty, we will most definitely meet again. With love,
Doug Kunihiro

Although I didn't know Laurie's mom personally, I feel like I knew her through Laurie. This is a time for grieving Laurie and a time for remembering all the good times with your mom. Take care and let her light shine.
Blessings, Marilyn

It is with great sadness and with past memories that we extend tribute to our dear friend Betty,
During the many years that we worshipped together at Unionville Alliance Church Betty exemplified the love of Christ and her faith to others.
We appreciated her so much in our One Another Small Group and loved her wonderful sense of humor
Our sympathy goes out to her family. We know she will be sadly missed. However we know Betty has only fallen asleep and is now safely in the loving arms of the Lord our savior.
In Christ,
Wadih and Barbara Karam
