I have been fortunate to be part of the Sabiston family for 60 plus years. In our teen years the boys group began to call Paul “Sabbie” and of course his mom and dad became Mr. and Mrs Sab. Mr. Sab did a lot for me and many others. He built the pump house near the river and created the community hockey rink for many years, he sponsored hockey teams, provided me with a job for a couple of years, was a financial advisor, always made time to share business advice and certainly provided examples of good work ethics. I am grateful for Mr. Sab’s contributions to my life. Our condolences to the family. Mark and Sheryl Giles

When Ev passed away, all for the great memories of growing up across the river came back to me. I have the same feelings now about Buss and his influence on us growing up. He always participated in what we did, which I envied you for because my dad rarely did. Buss was someone we all wanted to be like, healthy, active , and most importantly … respected! There’s been some recent postings on Facebook with the old hockey teams, your Dad in them.
He was a great man to have known, I kick myself for not stopping in to see him last November when I was there.
Take care Paul and take comfort knowing you were able to have him for as long as you have.
Writing something like this, I get concerned that I’m forgetting something important or don’t know how to write it. Wish I was there to shake your hand ….
Please pass on my sincerest condolences to Judy and your nephews as well.
