Cheri was definitely one of a kind! Although we did not know each other on a personal level, we had the pleasure of meeting with her multiple times, in our home, where she had to assess my mom (diagnosed with Alzheimer's) and she was just the most caring and compassionate human-being. She loved talking about her family and how excited she was for going on trips! I especially remember her talking about Greece, since she planned it months in advance and couldn't wait to go! Countless calls and reassurance that everything would be taken care of! She was detailed and amazing!!! Such gentleness and sweet natured, kind hearted woman. I just found out the other day and I'm still in shock from the news. I could only imagine the sadness her family is experiencing, during this time. I am so very sorry that it was her unfortunate time to leave this earth and especially so young! I wish her family condolences and I wish Cheri eternal beautiful painless peace in Heaven. I will make a donation in honour of her and her positive happy spirit. If you met her for even just a few minutes, you would understand just how wonderful she was!

Dear Dave, Courtney, Rachel and Brett,
I have so many great memories of Cheri from our trip to England in the summer of 2018. She was solely responsible for finding out the entire royal family would be on the balcony - all because she was curious enough to ask a police officer what was going on. And she wanted to sit on their motorcycles! We laughed until we cried so many times on that trip!! Cheri was such a lovely and kind woman. She deeply loved her family and spoke of Dave and the kids constantly. My deepest sympathy to all of you at this incredibly sad time. Sincerely Karen Douse

Cheri was truly a very special soul. Her kindness and authenticity made her someone I loved to be with. She was always so positive and I know how much my kids loved the way she would ask them how their day was, or always continue to ask them if they needed a ride home from school. My favourite memories were listening to her stories and hearing her laugh. She was a champion of her children and always fought for what was needed and right. We have been truly blessed to have her in our lives, whether at St. Pat's, SBA or at a hockey rink. She could always be counted on.

I met Cheri and Dave through our children who went to elementary and high-school together. I remember Cheri as always smiling and laughing exactly as her picture here shows. She also had a great sense of humour and a kind word about everyone. Her joy and energy was infectious! She made the world a nicer and brighter place. To all of Cheri’s family, I can not imagine your grief and am finding it difficult to believe that Cheri has left us. I enjoyed many years of friendship with Cheri while our daughters turned into hockey players. I have always loved her bubbling personality, incredible wit and enormous smile.
