Reg McEachen Condolence letter
I just heard the news of the passing of Reg ( Mr McEachen -to me - I could never bring myself to calling him “ Reg” - must be a cultural / upbringing thing )
I wanted to extend our family’s deepest condolences to Loretta ( Mrs. McEachen ) Jen and Danny ( and family )
I have nothing but the fondest memories of our “Delburn Drive “
neighbours.
A couple of quick stories are in order here.
In the early / mid 80s I’d made a brief foray from the industrial sales gig into the Wholesale T-shirt industry. Part of my job was to drum up new customers. It was painful to go through the Yellow Pages and attempt to find customers.
I think that Mr M felt my angst and gave me an order for a couple of dozen “old style “ trucker hats ( with the Jen- Dan logo emblazoned on the front ) As I recall, the quality wasn’t that great but he still took the hats regardless. Come to think of it - I think that my dad ,Harold , was a recipient of one of them !
Mr M showed a lot of generosity/ grace / character by still taking the hats.
Another quick story -
Mr M liked to have fun / and had a great sense of humour.
My friends and I used to frequent a local “watering hole” at the corner or Huntingwood and Brimley Rd. owned by a Greek guy named George .
On one occasion we ended up there with a friend of mine Shawn , who liked to wear a tank top emblazoned with “ Lifeguard “ across the front . We were talking to Mr M and he asked Shawn if he was a lifeguard ? Shawn replied “yes” and without a moments hesitation Mr M splashed him with his drink!
Again nothing but the fondest memories of our amazing “ Delburn neighbours”.
From our family to yours our deepest condolences- Mr McEachen will be terribly missed by all.

My heartfelt and sincerest condolences to the McEachen family. Growing up beside the McEachen's was like having a second family and I look back and cherish my childhood alongside these wonderful and kind folks. Mr. McEachen was the jolliest, happiest fellow and he truly enjoyed life. I thank you for the great memories we made on Delburn Drive. You will all be kept in my thoughts and prayers.
Love from Elaine (Koerber)

My deepest condolences Loretta, Danny and Jennifer, Florence, Patrick, Nichole and Valérie.
Reg was a true friend from the moment he was part of Adele and I's wedding party to the end.
I will keep so many memories, lots of laughs, from Golden Lake to Newfoundland.
He left us faster than I thought as were kept apart by the pandemic.
He and Adele will be up there together as they wait for us.
A great human being, family man and great friend.

We extend our sincere condolences to Loretta, Jennifer , Dan, Flo , Patrick, Nicole and Valérie. For Tom it is a lifetime of good memories and friendship that he shared with his cousin Reg. I was fortunate to be included in that friendship and share many fun times with Reg and Loretta. Reg enjoyed the occasional joke or prank but he was a man of kindness and generosity. His immediate and extended family were very important to him and he will be missed but remembered with a smile.
