Such a great loss to Mollie (Philips granddaughter) and I - But we have so many wonderful memories of our special times together ... RIP Philip, much love from us both xxx
Remembering my dear friend, Philip: It was in 2010 at Las Vegas that Yufei and I met you and Lian for the first time. We were amazed by your vigor and your broad interests in the world. I still remembered the day when you came to us with four tickets to “Phantom of the Opera”, that was a superb performance and also my first experience watching a live musical. You were not that interested in food and it seemed to me that your favorite was frozen vegetables and frozen fruit, nonetheless you were with us all the time when we went for buffets. When Yufei and I went for our studies in the U.S., we got to spend more wonderful time with you and Lian: one cruise trip, one trip to your home in Canada and one trip to Atlantic City. In all important dates of my life, you would send me postcards with your thoughts. From time to time, the postcards would come with a letter you typed using your old-fashioned typewriter. There were even sometimes a few Chinese characters you were intrigued with. Philip, I have been blessed knowing you and having you as a friend. May you rest in peace.
Remembering my dear friend, Philip, who was a true gentlemen, caring, and thoughtful: I still remember the incredible way our friendship started — you seeing me in a documentary and sending me a letter to kindly tell me how impressed you were with my hard work. I was surprised first to have received the letter with only my name and my university on the envelop (since that was all you knew), but I feel so lucky that your letter found me and gave me the chance to get to know you and Lian. I have been blessed having you as a friend and I cherish all your kindness, wisdom, and unique sense of humor. May you rest in peace, Philip, as memories of you live on.
Remembering a true friend; brilliant mind, dashing gentlemen, thoughtful and kind soul. Philip, we have been blessed knowing you. Our sincere condolences to Lian, her family and the Blyth family. Ron & Raymonde Moore
