Alain was a force in any room that he entered, whether walking, driving (fast), riding a motorcycle (fast), or flying (fast). He was a great father, friend and businessman. Some people took it hard when he cut through their bullshit, because he didn't suffer fools gladly, but most appreciated his blunt honesty. He taught us all how to live life to the fullest. A BBQ master too!
We'll really miss you Al. See you on that green golf course in the sky!

I have always cherished the times I spent with Alain over the years. Whether we were talking about car racing, travel, or just catching up on whatever was happening in our lives, he always made me feel special and loved. I will miss him. My love goes out to Sylvie, Philip, Krista, Laura and Sandra. Know that I am with you in spirit.

Uncle Alain was such a nice kind man. I remember his crazy tickling when I was little....I always couldn’t wait to see him!
We love you Aunt Sylvie, Philip, Krista, Laura, and Sandra and keep you in our prayers.

We have such fond memories of Alain - such a sweet and happy person. It's hard to find the words -- he was a wonderful uncle, "uncle-in-law" and great uncle to us. Our family will miss him dearly. Sending our deepest condolences and prayers to Sylvie, Philip, Krista, Laura and Sandra. With love from Monica, Chris, Natalie and Evan

Meeting Alain way back when at his home, one would first hear, banging on the most unbreakable coffee table because Hockey night in Canada was on, or shouts of “sweep!” at the curlers who needed to give it their all like Alain always did with strength and gusto.
Except when he would polish his cars, that was done with tenderness and attention to detail. Cars were his joy and entertainment but his true love was for his wife, Sylvie and son and grew even more when Philip got married and the grandchildren arrived. He never ran out time, laughter or smiles for them. Tears are now felt when the wonderful memories come back to us finishing with a smile at how lucky we were to have him in our lives.
