I have only the fondest of memories of Gerry as he served the Department along with John Calloway over my years as both an Undergraduate and Graduate student. (8T0, 8T2, 8T5) His kind demeanor, patience, and knowledge helped us all grow as students, and instilled us with confidence to succeed in our studies. The world was most definitely made a better place by Gerry being part of the MSE family. He will be sorely missed. Steve.

Gerry was a very integral and long-time member of the Aerobuffs, a model aircraft club specializing in 1/72 scale aircraft. He is going to be sorely missed by all the members. His all encompassing collection of books and model kits was something that was legendary, but it was his encyclopedic knowledge, and his joy and willingness in sharing that knowledge and the annual club Christmas parties at his home that we will miss the most.
Rest in peace, my friend !
