I want to say what a wonderful person Eileen was, cheerful and kind always and a delight to be with. She was a wonderful part of our congregation and deserving of much appreciation. May the love of our Lord and his promise of life eternal uphold all of you.

I was a neighbour of the Chadwick’s for over 20 years, both on Maple St and Eckhardt St. Both Harold & Eileen were very special to me and my parents. Eileen became our hairdresser and I remember she made sure I looked special for my grade 8 graduation. She was a very kind soul. I had lost touch with her when I moved to Haliburton, but think of her often. Condolences to her family.May she Rest In Peace.

Sad to know that our last aunt has passed away. Have memories of being at her house and having fun there with my many cousins. Always loved her beautifully fluffy cats.

I first met Eileen shortly after moving onto her street 11 years ago. She was an animal lover and always called from her front porch if I was walking my dog to come say hello and have a pat. She was exceptionally kind to my kids and always overpaid for services they provided such as lawn cutting and snow removal. My favourite memory of Eileen was running into her on the street one day as she was on her way to see Doris for one of their many adventures. She had a ripped ad from the Cdn Tire flyer taped to her chest. I asked about it and she replied that this item was on sale and Doris needed one. She figured she'd forget to tell her so she taped it on her chest. This way she explained, when Doris opens the door and says "what the hell is that?", I'll remember to tell her. Lol. Eileen had a wonderful spirit and I'm glad I knew her for the short time I lived here.

My sister, Helen Saunders, and myself are unable to attend services for Aunt Eileen, the last of our aunts and uncles to join the party in the sky. We're sure that she is happily re-united with Harold and all of her kitties. We enjoy the memories. Barb & Helen

I grew up across the street from Mrs. Eileen Chadwick. They always let me ride my skate board and skip in their driveway. It was the only driveway on the street that was paved! Even Maple Lane was not paved. Every memory I have of Mr.&Mrs. Chadwick (and there are so many) are sweet, special memories. They were both such loving, warm, wonderful people. I also remember many times that she would bring over homemade pies and tarts for us at our home...YUM!! God Bless you Mrs. Chadwick, may your soul be at peace...forever.

I have wonderful memories, especially of our Christmases together; my Mom and Dad, Auntie Eileen and Uncle Harold, and I. Such delicious food, lovingly prepared, and lots of conversations and laughs.
And when I was a little girl, we would visit them at their apartment over a store on Main Street, Unionville, where they had wooden crates as their cupboards.

On the day of September 27, 1944, Eileen's brother, Ken is pursuing the Germans through Strooibrug, Belgium with the Lincoln and Welland Regiment. In a war letter to his future wife, Ken writes about his sister's wedding back home. He hopes it went well and he thinks Harold's new wife is "the best sister in the world". It is clear of the love he has for his wonderful sister, Eileen.
