Obituary of Carol Thomas (McLaughlin)

THOMAS (McLaughlin) Carol –

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children in Markham on Monday January 7^th 2019. Pre deceased by her spouse Ian. Beloved mother to Peter (Sandra), Lisa (Greg) and Michael (Brenda). Loving Grandma to Brooke, Mitchell, Reid, Julia and Bradley. She will be missed by her sisters Jill and Lynne and her many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.  Carol was born to Dr. Milton and Helen Edsall in Leamington Ontario on January 7^th 1933 and moved to the Toronto area as a young adult, where she lived out her life. She was a vibrant and tenacious woman, with a quick wit and a love of travel. Family and friends will be received at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street North (Markham Rd), Markham, on Friday January 18th from 3-7pm. Cremation has taken place. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
