I'm very sorry to hear of Bruce's passing. It's so unfortunate that his time volunteering at the Toronto Zoo was cut short. He had a wealth of knowledge to share (linked to his other volunteer work at TRCA and Parks Canada), and was a wonderful individual. My deepest sympathies to Bruce's family and friends.

I worked with Bruce over 30 years ago. He was a colleague that managed to be both responsible and irreverent, and those qualities resided seamlessly within his personality. He was the original ‘what you see is what you get’ colleague. I am glad for having had the chance to know him and am very sorry for your loss.

Bruce was one of the best people I ever worked with. He was intelligent, helpful, honest, a good family man and loads of fun. It was an honor to know him. My sincerest condolences to, and prayers for his family.
