DOUGLAS WAYNE HOOVER


After a life filled with faith, family and friends, Doug passed away at Markham-Stouffville Hospital on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the age of 74. Devoted husband and best friend of Muriel (Byer) for over 51 years. Proud father of Steve and Jeni Hoover and Heather and Roger Kehl. Supportive Grandpa of Danielle and Amy Hoover and fun-loving Papa to Zack, Rachel and Julia Kehl. Dear brother of Marg (Jim) Beer, the late Herb (Alene) Hoover, and John (Donna) Hoover. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Florence Hoover. He will be also missed by a large circle of extended family members and friends. You are invited to share your memories of Doug with his family during visitation at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street North,(Markham Road) Markham on Friday, January 10 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate Doug's life will take place on Saturday, January 11 at EastRidge Evangelical Missionary Church, 12485 Tenth Line, Stouffville at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mennonite Central Committee, Mission Aviation Fellowship or Parkview Services for Senior's would be appreciated.
