Obituary of Joy Graham

Dorothy Joy Graham (nee Bessey) - February 13, 1942 - May 28, 2013 With great sadness, the family announces the passing of Joy, who died peacefully and surrounded by her family at Markham Stouffville Hospital. She was 71. She will be dearly missed by those who knew her for her strong spirit, independence and firmly-held values. Joy was loyal and devoted to her family, and had a generous and giving spirit. Joy was beloved wife of Alex for 51 years. Caring mother to Chris (Tara), Lauri (James), Nicole (Keith) and Andrea (Kelly). And she was Nana to six beautiful grandchildren - Sierra, Madison, Lucas, Alexis, Marryn and Kaitlyn. Friends and family will be received at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North, Markham, from 6pm-9pm on Thursday, May 30. Funeral services will be held at the Dixon-Garland Chapel (same address) on Friday, May 31 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Arthritis Society would be much appreciated.
