Godfrey, David Wilfred Holland (PEng, CEng, FRAeS, AFAIAA) - Died quickly and peacefully on March 8, 2013, in his 85th year in Markham. Born in Whitstable, England he attended Miles Aeronautical Technical School, and qualified as a CEng in 1948. He emigrated to Montreal in 1959, marrying Joy Carole Lewis in 1962. He was an aeronautical engineer who worked at De Havilland's (UK), Canadair, and Lockheed (USA); he was an aviation journalist who published in over 40 magazines; and he was a professor at Ryerson University. Survived by his wife Joy, sons Michael, Mark, and Dan; daughter-in-law Anita, and grandchildren Trevor, Ian, Marlon, and Emily. We miss your humour, your humanism, your love. We miss you.
Memorial service to be held Saturday March 16 at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road), Markham ON (http://www.dixongarland.com). Visitation at 12:30 pm, service at 1:30 pm followed by a reception.
